Furniture & joinery procurement · London
Furniture and joinery procurement for UK projects
You send us a specification. We come back with a costed route to build it, and then we carry it — production, quality control, customs, freight, warehousing, delivery and installation.
One contact. One line of responsibility. However many suppliers it takes.
What a procurement house is
A retailer sells you what it stocks. A workshop sells you what it can build. We are paid to find the right route for every item on a schedule.
Neither of the first two is much help when a project needs a stone-topped table from one country, an Italian dining chair from another, and forty metres of fitted joinery that has to match both.
We do not own a workshop. That is deliberate. It means we specify the maker that suits the piece rather than the piece that suits our machinery.
A project, in one table
One project, six supply routes
A single residential job rarely comes from one place. This is what a schedule actually looks like before we consolidate it.
| Line | Source | Lead |
|---|---|---|
| Dining chairs, Italian brand | Trade account | 8 wks |
| Stone-topped tables, bespoke | Turkey | 10 wks |
| Fitted joinery, 42 linear m | Turkey | 9 wks |
| Upholstery, to client fabric | London | 7 wks |
| Freight, customs, warehousing | BPH | 2 wks |
| Delivery and installation | BPH | 1 day |
Who we work with
Three ways people work with us
-
Interior designers and architects
You keep the client. We never contact them. You get trade pricing that is usually better than your own accounts, and one schedule instead of twenty supplier email chains.
For designers and architects -
Developers and contractors
Repeatable joinery specification across flats, priced per unit, with a programme you can put in a build schedule and one company carrying the liability.
For developers -
Private clients
Full residential packages — kitchens, wardrobes, dining, upholstery, curtains, lighting. Specified once, delivered on one date, installed by one team.
How it works
Tools
Price it before you call us
Most suppliers make you request a quotation to find out whether you are in the right budget at all. We would rather you knew first. These run on the same rates we quote from.
Indicative only, and always subject to a formal quotation. But close enough to tell you whether to keep reading.
Manufacturing
Where things are made
Most of our bespoke joinery and furniture is manufactured in Turkey, in workshops we have used repeatedly and visit during production.
It is the reason our pricing on bespoke work sits below UK workshop rates, often substantially. For very high-end joinery, and for upholstery where the freight does not justify itself, we use London workshops instead. On a recent residential package we priced the same schedule both ways and gave the client the comparison.
The manufacturing risk is ours, not yours. We inspect before goods ship, we clear customs, and we deliver to site. You deal with one company in London.
